Launch of the Eurodesk pool of young journalists

 

12 young journalists aged 16-27 coming from 5 European countries have been selected to take part in the European Pool of Young Journalists. They will work along the year to reflect young people's opinions on relevant topics in journalistic pieces to be featured in the European Year of Youth page. They are free to explore different formats to make their voice heard and enhance their professional skills.

Commission proposal for a Council Recommendation on youth volunteering

 

As one of the first concrete initiatives under the 2022 European Year of Youth, the Commission has published a proposal for a Council Recommendation on youth volunteering to facilitate transnational youth volunteering under the European Solidarity Corps or other schemes at national level.

Proposal for a Council Recommendation on learning for environmental sustainability

 

The proposal aims to support Member States, schools, higher education institutions, non-governmental organisations and all education providers in equipping learners with understanding and skills on sustainability, climate change and the environment.

NATIONAL EURODESK HIGHLIGHT

 

Meet Eurodesk Lithuania's annual journal

 

The fourth of a series of the annual journal “Žinau viska" ("I know it all") issued by Eurodesk Lithuania will see the light of day next June 2022. It will focus on self-care, both emotional and physical. The journals have so far tackled different relevant topics to young people like studying, sustainability and innovation, always connected to mobility opportunities. 


Young journalists are in charge of content creation for the journal, including interviews to people from all over Lithuania. Journals can be accessed online, but youngsters are also invited to read a paper copy at Eurodesk multipliers and youth information points.
