Eurodesk at the EYE2025

Eurodesk made a significant contribution at this year's European Youth Event (EYE 2025) on June 13-14, connecting with over 500 young people. We hosted a GameZone and an information kiosk where participants learned about Eurodesk, European culture, and EU programmes, all while winning great prizes.

A significant highlight was the visit of Commissioner Glenn Micallef, who not only explored our interactive games but also directly engaged with our team, answering their questions.

NATIONAL EURODESK HIGHLIGHT

Why don't they teach this in schools?

Meet Farní charita Litomyšl – Volunteer Centre and Eurocentrum Pardubice, the winners of the 2025 Creative Youth Information Award at the Eurodesk Awards, for their inspiring project: Day of Local Volunteering – 2nd Edition. Local volunteering isn’t something typically taught in schools, but this project is changing that! Through their event, the two organisations connected directly with young people, engaging in meaningful conversations and answering their questions about volunteering opportunities. What’s more, they reached out to teachers, raising awareness about both local and international volunteering programmes. This has led to lasting partnerships with several schools, ensuring that more young people gain access to these life-changing opportunities.
