Celebrating 35 years of Eurodesk

 

Eurodesk Network recently concluded a successful Network Meeting in Brussels, Belgium, from 7 to 11 April 2025, co-organised by Eurodesk Brussels Link and the 3 Belgian Eurodesk centres. The Network meeting also marked the celebrations of the Eurodesk 35th anniversary through a reception, kicked off by Glenn Micallef, European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport.

European Solidarity Corps interim evaluation published

 

The evaluations, adopted by the European Commission, reaffirm the significant impact of the European Solidarity Corps (2021-2027 and 2018-2020) and the EU Aid Volunteers programme (2014-2020) in enhancing social cohesion, youth empowerment, and solidarity, as well as advancing inclusion, diversity, and democratic participation, and reinforcing European identity and values.

EU challenges and priorities: young Europeans' views

 

The Eurobarometer survey by the European Commission reveals that the primary concerns for young Europeans regarding the future are the cost of living (41%) and peace/global stability (30%). Notably, 31% believe that security and defence should be the EU's top priority, while 38% advocate for increased EU investment in affordable housing and cost-of-living support.

Time to Move Traveller Personality Quiz! 

 

The Time to Move - Traveller Personality Quiz by Mladi u EU, powered by Eurodesk Croatia, is an initiative designed for the TTM2024 to engage young people with European opportunities in a fun and interactive way. By answering some questions, young participants can match with one of four possible “traveller personality types”: The Adventurer, The Social Butterfly, The Passionate Pursuer, and The Lone Wolf. Each corresponds to a personality card with a dedicated “Meow to Move” inspired character and a description of the programmes/actions that best suit their inclinations. Among the proposed programmes, actions, and initiatives, there are: Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, DiscoverEU, volunteering work camps, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs, BlueBook Traineeships, EURES, ESN, student exchanges, and many more.
