To close the project Generation D-liberation which consisted of one year of assemblies, discussions and ideas for the future of Europe involving more than 3000 students in Europe, OBESSU is hosting the Gen D talks to present and discuss the countless ideas on the topics of climate change, mental health, minority rights... and much more.

The EU Youth Test

The European Economic and Social Committee presented in a public hearing its own-initiative opinion on “The EU Youth Test”. This opinion will look at how youth engagement can be fostered to bring a youth perspective into policy-making at all levels.
The hearing aimed at finding out more about the experience of Member States already implementing the Youth Test and to look at youth participation in the context of Europe’s future.

Be Seen, Be Heard: Promoting youth participation and amplifying young voices in public life

The report aims to outline how and why young people engage in political decision-making, and the challenges that sometimes prevent them from doing so. It puts forward policy and legislation recommendations for advancing the needs and rights of young people, ensuring their voices are meaningfully heard in public life and decision- making.
