Eurodesk new executive committee
|
|
At the last Eurodesk General Assembly which took place place in Croatia on 30 September, the assembly elected the new members of the Eurodesk Executive Committee, the governing body of the international association. Lorena Baric (Croatia) was elected as the new President of the association, while Claire Conlon (France), Zsófia Bertalan (Hungary), Robert Helm-Pleuger (Germany), Miriam Petra Ómarsdóttir Awad (Iceland), Valentina Piras (Italy) and Pavlína Macounová (Czech Republic) have been elected as members of the Executive Committee.

Call for the 2023 pool of European Young Journalists!
|
|
Eurodesk and the European Commission are inviting young people to put their journalistic skills into practice and report on issues that matter to them. Eligible applicants should be from 18 to 30 years old, coming from all over the European Union and the Erasmus+ associated countries and available to contribute, on a volunteering basis, for a 1-year period. In exchange they will have the chance to learn new tools, trends and techniques from professionals with regular online training webinars and much more.
Deadline to apply: 30 October.

The European Commission has launched a survey in view of the co-creation of a “Manifesto for gender-inclusive STE(A)M education and careers”, in line with the ambition under the European Strategy for Universities to strengthen women and girl’s participation in STEM studies and careers.

Exhibition "Europe of opportunities, experience and development"
|
|
Czech Eurodesk partner Eurocentrum Ostrava, in cooperation with Europe Direct Ostrava, organised an outdoor exhibition "Europe of opportunities, experience and development" as their main Eurodesk activity in 2021. The exhibition mapped stories of residents of the Moravian-Silesian Region who experienced some of the Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps programmes. The aim of the exhibition was to get personal impressions of the participants but also to motivate citizens of this region to get involved in some of those programmes.
