The candidate will work across a number of existing and new campaigns creating (audiovisual) content and strategies with the support and cooperation of the communication and graphic design departments. Eurodesk Youth Delegation at the EYE2023

 

More than 10,000 participants, 400 volunteers involved, and hundreds of workshops for young people from 16 to 30 years old. These are just some numbers of the European Youth Event 2023, held in Strasbourg (France) on 9 and 10 June 2023. The Eurodesk community didn’t miss the appointment and participated in the event with a group of 28 people coming from 11 European countries.

Meet the Eurodesk Awards winners

 

Each year, the Eurodesk Awards recognise the efforts of Eurodesk's local multipliers who assist young individuals in exploring and taking advantage of the numerous opportunities available in Europe. In 2023, a total of 47 projects from 15 countries competed for 4 prizes.

New rules to avoid the exploitation of trainees across the EU

 

MEPs adopted a report calling on the Commission to propose a new directive setting minimum quality standards, including rules on the duration of traineeships, as well as on remuneration and access to social protection in accordance with national law and practices.

In its adopted opinion "Cooperation on youth" the European Economic and Social Committee underlines the importance of having accurate, up-to-date data in order to monitor and evaluate the impact of policies on youth and to define good practices which address young people.

NATIONAL EURODESK HIGHLIGHT

 

Incontri creativi (creative meetings)

 

The Informagiovani Eurodesk of the Municipality of Iglesias in Italy organised the Creative encounters, a project involving 15 young people/adults with fewer opportunities in interactive and re(creative) activities. The main objective was to improve awareness of their abilities and lead them to reflect on the present, past and future. Participants took part in various non-formal activities such as film viewing, an Escape Room, a Linguistic Tombola and board games.

Through the project, participants managed to share their ideas and express feelings, anxieties and visions for the future, acquiring various transversal skills. The presence of some adults was important as the young people were able to notice the different facets of life yesterday and today, learning from them and approaching different realities of life.
